I am in the market for a water softener. I am looking at the La PURE filtration and conditioning system. I am hoping to connect with someone who actually has the system. How would you rate it compared to a Kinetico or Culligan water softener? Is it effective? Does it really condition water without salt? Any information would be helpful.

The water system guy increased the pump presure of my well a couple weeks ago stating that my water filtration system was not working properly since pump was set at 20/40 psi? He increased it to 40/60 psi. Now when the water filtration system rejuvenates, water backs up into my washer tub. I am also on a septic too but this is clear water and does not smell, nor did this happen prior to him changing this dial on my well pump. What is wrong here? I have been in this house for 10 years plus had the water filtration system for 9 years. He has been the same water guy who has been to my house each year to change my filters the whole time. But since I have a high content of iron in my water, he has to rebuild the heads on my filtration system each year. He said increasing the pressure of my well pump would stop this problem. Now I have a new one and he is saying it's my septic. Someone please help?

I am sold on the water filtration system for vacuums. I would never want air being moved around esp now that my son was diagnosed with asthma. However, Rainbow is way too expensive! So I am on the look out for the most effective alternative. Here are the top 3:
Shark CW240- 1.51 at Amazon and other websites. Pretty good reviews, but no hepa filter. But again, my priority is that it works on a water filtration system.
Frontgate Water Filtration Hydro Vacuum- 9, has hepa filter and more, but only available at their website. No reviews available, but product sounds good.
Thanes H20 Vac-9, has hepa filter for an added amt of money as well as other crucial parts of a vacuum (suction head for crevices)! I don't really like scammy marketing strategies like that. Available reviews are only at their website.
So which one do you think is most practical and effective?

I have very hard water where I live & I was wondering if it would be worth it to invest in a whole house water filtration system or if I should just get an under sink reverse osmosis system w/ the storage tank for drinking water?
I would be more inclined to get the whole house water filtration system if I could determine how beneficial it is for other things…
Is this water a lot better for your skin?
What about when washing your clothes? Does hard water make this more harsh or turn whites dingy?
What is the difference between a Water Softener and this type of system?

We just got a reverse osmosis water filtration system. Everytime we get a glass of water, it gurgles for about 30 min after wards. Is this normal?

I was researching different home/under sink/counter top water filtration systems and kept coming across "Not available for sale in California." Now, I don't live there, but I was wondering why some can't be sold there?

I live in an area with hard water that leaves all my dishes coated with lime. Plus, the water has known carcinogens. I don’t want to cook with it or bathe with it at all.

Intrested in getting some sort of water filtration system. Looking at those under the sink reverse osmosis systems. Any brands you recommend? How hard is it to install? Is it something I could put on the honey-do list for my husband to install himself?

My parents moved into a townhouse community a while ago, and when I've gone to visit, I've found they have a lot of water problems. Aside from the pressure being low, which is merely an inconvenience, the water tastes and smells dirty and very fishy. Cooking with it alters the taste of meals, and using one or two blocks of ice ruins a whole drink. Sometimes even the dishes and clothes have a slight odour after being washed. Occasionally I've turned on the tap to see the water coming out brown, enough that the sinks have to be scrubbed to remove residue. The townhouse community was only built about 5 years ago, and it all runs the local water supply.
I've installed water purification on the taps, but I've recently discovered that it's possible to buy whole house filtration systems. I have no idea how to go about researching these. Does anyone have experience with them? How are they, cost-wise? Are they worth the investment? Do they require a lot of construction, maintenance, etc?
Any other opinions or advice about finding out why the water is so problematic, dealing with the problems, and/or water filtration would be appreciated.

There's a lot of water that comes out of the whole house water filtration system when it cleans itself. Mine is made by Kinetico and it's comes with 2 filter tanks and 1 softener tank. Can I water plants with that water? It is safe for lawn and other plant life? I hate to see all that water go to waste.
Thanks

We have horrible lime and calcium build up – very hard water. We want an entire water softner/filtration system.
Bottled water or attachments for the sink is not what I am talking about, it needs to be for laundry, showers, drinking, cooking, etc.
Please help!
