Am I packing too much?
I’m packing for my first year of college, and I have a feeling I’m over packing. I’m moving two hours away from home. I guess I’m just too attached to my things. >_<…
But I have… Three regular sized boxes, two small boxes, two duffle bags of clothes [one is extremely small,] and I also have… a chair, a bike, and a box of shelves that I got on sale for 110% off. [Figuratively speaking.]
Yes, it sounds like a lot. But the smaller boxes are really little! One has my shoes, and the other has books and such.
One of the regular boxes have everything I could possibly stuff in it, tupperware, pads, EVERYTHING. The other box has all my sheets, and was delivered to my house that way, so I’m thinking of stuffing more stuff in there and possibly decrease to four boxes instead of five.
The last box just has… miscellaneous things. Like… sweatshirts, hangers, a water filtration pitcher, and a desktop organizer.
I have talked to my roommate, but she’s made very clear that she isn’t really bringing anything.
I know this was quite a bit to get through, but any constructive advice would be very much appreciated. ^-^
Thanks so much!

I honestly don’t think you’ll need your bike, unless you plan on doing a lot of biking in between classes. So I’d leave your bike behind. I would imagine you’d be too busy to do any riding. You can always jog or run for exercise.
I’d only pack the absolutely necessary things. Clothes of course, makeup, personal hygiene items, toiletries, shoes, bedsheets, towels. I’m guessing the only books you’ll be reading are your school books so maybe leave your leisure books at home, perhaps only bringing three or four.
Yeah I think u might b packing just a little too much. I think it’s normal lots of people do that especially people moving away from home. It’s almost like u trying to take most of the things from home with u so it will kinda sorta b like home.
