1)I've never heard of that, but I've never noticed it on my bettas either
2)They are usually sluggish when stressed or sick, may just be stressed from the move
3)Not eating, not moving, unusual markings
4)Sadly the betta kits are not good for bettas. For them to live their full life span they need at least a 10 gallon tank with a gentle filter and a heater. They can live a while in the small unheated tanks but thrive a lot better, and are a lot more active in a larger tank with a filter and heater
5)That might be ok, depends how much waste builds up.
6)Bettas love Bloodworms.

This site should help you a lot

1)It is very natural for betta fishes to be stressed.Especially when moving them into an new home.Give it about 4 or 5 more days, if the fish doesn't improve, then it may have a stress issue and it may need another betta, not a male betta but a female betta.
2)From what you say, he seems lonely and sounds like he needs a female betta. You may also want to, if you don't already, to add a heater. Bettas can EXTREMELY stressed in water that is below 75 degrees.
3)Should swim around, don't expect your betta to swim 24-7, he needs to sleep to.
4)You should really invest on getting at least a 3, 4, or 5 gallon bowl or tank. Small spaces will stress him, how would you like to live in such a tiny space?
5)Once a week, although your water may look clean, it can have pollutants not visible to the naked eye, but by the betta himself.
6)Bloodworm is a great food for him, but you should also have a tiny container of freeze dried brine shrimp. They come in cubes that you break apart into miniscule peices and feed them. It is VERY nutritious.

It is my pleasure to help you and your betta. Hope this helps!

1.i've never heard of that...
just because he isn't stressed, doesn't mean that's a suitable home for him.
2. he's only not very active because he's in a bowl. they are more active in a real tank.
3.makes a bubble nest( pretty big), flares at things, etc.
4.it depends, if the temperature EVER gets to under 75F, then you need a heater.
again, you should really upgrade to a 5 gallon tank with a filter and heater.

why are you arguing that your betta is fine? is it because you don't want to give him a better home? do you not want to spend money on him?

5. you should be doing water changes like 3 times a week for a bowl. since it's a bowl, and not a tank, it doesn't matter if you do water changes or not. so you should be cleaning the whole thing out once a week.

6.if you only feed him bloodworms( your fish food is not just bloodworms) then that wouldn't be giving him alot of the nutrients he needs. you should feed him regular food, and bloodworms once, maybe twice a week.
