Should I buy this Aquafuzion water filtration system?
The system runs about 9/mo for 60 months. I just saw the demo and was amazed at how bad my water was according to the "tests" performed by the sales rep right in front of my eyes. He also did a cost analysis based on an estimate of what I spend for cleaning products and energy consumption and everything else involved and he showed me that by buying this system I can actually save more money than by NOT buying it. The numbers were right there so all I have to do is call and get it installed in my house. Should I do it? Does anyone know anything about these systems? Are there any problems with them? Help…
The system works by passing the raw water through a filter containing resin beads that attract the contaminants. These contaminants are then flushed out at a later time when the sensors detect that enough contaminants have been removed and the system needs to be cleaned.
The system is called a GE ProElite. Take a look. http://www.aquafuzion.net/html/solutions.php

Honestly let me give you some important advise. My friend used to work for this company that sold the same type of water filter systems. They would go door to door saying that they were educating the community on the condition of the water. They would mix a solution with your water and watched it turn a cloudy shade. This is what you and your family are drinking, plus this is what is running threw your plumbing and water heater which in turn is attaching itself to your pipes and appliances….etc….etc….etc! They use the line that eventually you will spend money due to the condition of the water and repairs…blah blah blah. Save your money man. You will thank me when these goons aren’t knocking at your door in a year saying they upgraded the system you have and want to sell you a system that is more efficient and cleaner. This is one of those deals that you never get out of. Save your money and sanity. Good luck with your decision.
How does it work ? Do some research into that. If its through some kind of ozonizer or ionizer, you might be adding oxidants, or maybe a better word for it — free radicals to your water supply.
60 months !!!!!! oh my god !
You can get a good enough filter for maybe 1 or 2 of those payments, or less.
Don’t listen to people who are basing their comments on generalizations and not facts. All water softeners are not the same and you get what you pay for. I tested water for a living for 5 years, and the Ge system is without a doubt the best currently available to civilians. If you’re concerned with not just softening the water but removing contaminants. It is a little pricey but from a proffessional point of view it’s worth the price tag, in the long run.
