I’m opening an all natural pet grooming spa and I’m looking for something I can spray on or clean my stainless steel bathing tub with because I have very hard water. The tubs where I work now are a mess after only one year. I do not use synthetic fragrance or chemicals of any kind. Isn’t there something I can just spray on after each bath?
The tub I will be using will be brand new to start, so if I just spray it down with vinegar after bathing this will keep it clean and stop the buildup? The lemon juice thing is interesting, what concentration?

I have a box filter with the carbon in it and I was wondering if i still need to cycle the tank? Do box filters require more attention to the tank as far as changing the water more or adding certain chemicals? If you could also please give me any additional info on how to maintain an aquarium with a box filter? I also have a under gravel filter. Which filter is more useful? And Would I be able to keep a Dwarf Gourami in this aquarium with this filter setup?

Thanks

My hair is white-ish blond and i think it is very dried out from the ocean…i am swimming and surfing everyday. its loosing its shine especially the ends. Ive tried putting mayonase in it and all those natural hair remedies you see on the internet….I have tried a couple deep conditioners.

Can any body recommend anything- (with no chemicals because my hair is so white )

I recently got a new tank with a under gravel filter, and I put the carbon filters in my old tank (with fish still in it) for three days, added stones and rocks from the old tank to the new tank, and put several gallons of water from the old tank to the new tank. I also took a few bio-balls from the old tank, and the new tank has been planted and proper chemicals have been added.

So my question is, how much longer will it take to cycle the new tank? I know it is a month or so for a brand new tank, but since all nessicary bacterias have been added, how much time will it take?

I need to make one for Science class, with only materials that are usually found at home. I cannot add chemicals to the treatment process. No one is going to be drinking the water. The purification system should be able to remove garbage (leaves, rocks, wrappers) and clean the colour of the water, somewhat, so that the end product is a beaker of water that has no garbage in it, and somewhat clear. Like I said before, no chemicals, and no one is going to be drinking it.

I know that activated carbon is the best to use because of it’s high absorbtion qualities. I also know that the main difference is the process by which lump charcoal and activated charcoal is made is the heat and/or chemicals used to increase the absorbtion quality. For money sakes I wanted to use the store bought lump charcoal (not the briquettes which also contain other materials) I would smash them up really good to increase the surface area thereby increasing the absorbtion quality. I just wanted to make sure there isn’t anything I am missing before I go through the trouble. Any advice is appreciated.

If any of the 3 chemicals I mentioned above were pulled through water with a vacuum, would any of the 3 pass through the water? If not, would some of it be filtered? What about fumes from heated tar or resin?
The water would be cooled with ice cubes. The butane exactly the same concentration as a bic lighter.

I am just not sure if I would really need them for my 72 hours bob out bag?? I have seen many videos on it, but here in Florida water is everywhere… I also do not live in far middle of no where, but city and busy street everywhere. So…. not sure if I would need one? If so, what kind? I am into safe / natural as possible of course, I do not like too much chemicals, but what do I know.

I’ve been able to detect lead in my local drinking water a few times, and it is very likely contaminated with other chemicals, although it is generally safe to drink. What are some inexpensive ways to filter tap water besides carbon filters? Is distillation a great way to purify it?
