…water system.
Anybody know of an adapter/replacement filter system for Kinetico Reverse Osmosis drinking water system. Seeking a permanent screw on housing to fit Kinetico and disposable fiber filters, rather than the expensive housing/filter combo sold by Kinetico.

Hey all. I have a constant problem. My 10 gallon fish tank i have for the kids is constantly cloudy. i have tablets an "potion" for everything.I have used water clear, ammonia clear,ph balance, i have test strips for ammonia an a 5 test strip. The 5 tests are all in normal range for the usual, nitrates ammonia,ph etc. I empty 25% of the water,50% of the water,70% of the water, changed filters etc. This has been an ongoing problem for 3 months.I have 4 goldfish an 1 algae fish. I chaeck every few days an it never gets any better. I have a filter system i guess that uses a bio filter an a carbon filter but im at wits end.Tired of a cloudy tank an i have to believe its not over populated.About 15 years ago i had a 10 gallon tank with 3-4 fish an it was never ever cloudy,.not sure whats wrong or what im doing wrong.I dont wanna have to start flushing fish .By the way i use tap water an i have used 2 different start up liquids over 3 months tryin to see if maybe the brand i used was causing it.But my drinking water isnt naturally couldy is my point. Please help me out. Thanks
at first i did feed them twice a day but i have feed them once a day and thats it for a month at least. One goldfish is kinda big, 4 inces long id say,the rest arent big. i use the power filter that came with it,aqua filter i think.walmart brand. I use a vacuum pump to drain an clean gravel every few weeks.maybe fish are moving gravel around stirring up dirt constantly..

I have one of those ole wal-mart brand Aqua-Tech 20-40 gallon filter systems for my 20 gallon, and recently it’s started acting up on me and I need to know what to do! There’s the part where the water flows out the filter and back into the tank, but in between that and the tube that siphons the water out the tank, there is a small opening, and that is where most of the water is coming out of! It’s like just dripping out the main part, but straight up coming out that opening! I know the water coming out like that isn’t going through my filters and don’t want all my fish to die! I Just don’t understand why that opening is even there, it’s on no other filter system I’ve seen. Please Help! Also, if I take both the carbon and bio filters out, the water will start flowing back out the way it should, but as soon as I put them back in, starts flowing back out the opening! And yes I wash off the bio filter once a week and change the carbon filter every two weeks and make sure it doesn’t gunk up in between!

Is collecting rainwater from the roof of a house into a barrel with a filter system made from 1: Nylons/ Cheesecloth. 2: Gravel. 3: Sand. 4: Charcoal. 5: Nylons/ Cheesecloth. and then drain into another barrel with the opening covered by nylons/ cheesecloth/ a window screen(s), etc… (Basically something to keep out bugs and I guess add one more layer of filtration.) and then boiling the water good enough to make sure it’s clean enough to drink?

why is my tank murky?

last night we completely took apart our 10gal freshwater aquarium. we had a MAJOR snail invasion that we had to take care of because they were eating our fish.
so i took it completely apart. i put fresh new rocks in (washed very good 1st)
we have a under gravel filter system. the snails were infested in both little Charcoal filter things so i had no choice but to run it with out the filters until morning when i could buy new ones.
when i woke up this morning the tank was totally white! i could kinda see the fish but barely. so i immediately went to the pet store to get the filters. by the time i got home i couldn’t even see my fish! i ran the filter for most of the day and still no change, so i did another complete water change. since the water change the water isn’t white anymore but its still VERY murky and has a grayish dark tint to it.
its not FRESH and CLEAR like it normally is when i do my water changes! i have no idea what happened and what the heck to do! lol.

any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

its a 10gal glass aquarium, under gravel filter with a reg filter as well,
fresh rocks, 2 fake plants, ceramic hiding thing, new Charcoal filters for the under gravel and reg filter.
we haven’t done anything we’ve never done before. when we set up our aquarium for the 1st time i didn’t have this problem.

oh and about 20 little guppy sized fish, 3 of them are no larger than a quarter the rest tiny. oh and an algae eater. (all fish we’ve had for months!)
its also indoors out of sunlight. again nothing has changed!
did not add salt..never have and its never been a problem. y add salt?
what do people not get about ive done notthing different!
about the cleaning…i didnt just do suction. i emptied the entire tank, i threw out all the old rocks, scrubbed the glass, put brand new rocks (there for NO old dirt)

I have a 55 Gal tank with salt water. I have had it going for about 1 week. I have 1 tank hung Millenium 3000 280 GPH wet/dry filter, 1 Canister filter with the water jet attachment 115 GPH, both with carbon filters, and 1 under gravel filter system with no carbon carbon filter attached to a pump. I have crushed coral in the tank. The specific gravity is at 1.027-1.028. The tempture is right around 78- 79 degrees I have the PH undercontrol i think, I have 1 live rock and some bio media from the pet store the guy gave me. I have 4 Damsels and 1 Black Molly. This is my frist saltwater tank and I feel like the 2 small petstores in my town are jerkin me around tryin to get me to buy stuff and they both give me different awnsers to the same questions. Could someone tell me if what i have is ok for a start to my saltwater experiance??

This is a new 10 gallon tank, just started 3 days ago. It has one 7 inch bubble wall, and a Topfin carbon filter system. The water has had the proper de-chlorinators added to it, and I have 9 fish, tetras and two catfish. I came home this evening to see foam going over the edge of the tank. Only when I remove the tank lid do they go away…any suggestions?
Allow me to rephrase:

I have seven neon tetras, and two tiny catfish, that does not make 11 fish, number one.

Number two: Stress zyme was already added before the fish were put in, and cycled. Decholrinator was added and cycled before any fish were added.

Now, cycling the water, to me, doesn’t seem like it would cause the bubbles to go away, so, what now?

Now I need help with the filters. It’s a 35 gal salt water tank that was a fresh water tank not filled yet. I was told I could use a Bio wheel, but after looking into it they seem to have alot of faults, as the wheel stops turning from time to time, and if you loose power and the wheel dries out you’re screwed. I have a Aqua Pure 200 that is rated very good for all 3 types of filtering that I used on my fresh water tank that worked very well. I know the filter system in a salt water tank is somewhat different then fresh, but I was told again that the AP200 along with a powerhead would be fine for that size tank, was I informed right? To set up my tank I plan on using the sand sold in the store, and live rock, then let it cycle for a few weeks. Is that enough to get the Bio going? Or do I need to do anything else? I was also told I do not need air stones in a salt tank as I did in fresh water tank as long as I have a powerhead?

I work at a park, and we have a 1.5 million gallon pond that houses Japanese Koi and goldfish. when the pond was installed the park management opted not to install a filter system, and now 7 years later itd be very difficult ( and more expensive ) to retrofit some mechanical filtration into the pond. what we are looking for is some kind of bio-logical replacement. we had catfish but either they died or are just in effective. at this writing the pond is undergoing a cleaning and will have fresh well water pumped in. I’m thinking maybe some snails, but not sure if the fish will eat all of them ( they’re swimming pigs ) i have also considered some other algae eater fish. temperature in the water usually hovers around 55, and the deepest section of the pond drops to 4 feet so the fish will have somewhere to go to for the occasional cold day. we’re in central Florida, so most fish are available. so any suggestions regarding fish are feasible
