i have had it just over a month, i have cleaned it out about a week ago thinking that will make the water clear again but its not worked, then i done a water change 25% and as i put the clean water in all the poo etc from the stones all come up in the water making it look horrific soon settled but obviously its there how can i clean it, read another question like this but the people replied get a bottom feeder but they are not suitable as the ceramic media is sharp and will cut their mouths, any advice please, oh btw i only have 4 tiger barbs in there, did have a red crab but he dissapeared and its not in direct sunlight,

Oh and by the way people who have one, after much digging i have found out you dont need to replace the filter every 4-6 weeks all you need to do is get some activated carbon pellets (got mine from ebay £2.50) and just wash it empty the old carbon in the bin and simply replace and wash the blue sponge, genius, saving a lot of money

oh and by the way this is not the cause of the water being dirty as made difference when i cleaned it just not alot) and thats exactly what marine one uses they just like to get ya money (naturally lol)

I’m wanting to replace my old water heater with a tankless system. My old water heater is full of sulphur deposits from my sulphur well so instead of buying another one I would rather sink my money into a tankless system.

It will have to be electric as we don’t have access to gas here.

So will a tankless system work ok with Sulphur Water. Of course we treat it with chlorine but it’s not always filters through carbon. Right now my filter is down.

Also, which tankless system is considered the best? Someone said it needs more electricity too.

Would I be better off to stay with a tank system for some reason?

What kind of total cost would I be looking at in Tennessee to have such a thing installed typically?

Any and all information relative to this would be greatly appreciated. Any helpful links to information is appreciated as well.

I have a treta repto filter. It is a carbon filter. How do i clean it. Can i just rinse the cartridge through water. I don’t have the money to by one cartilage every week. I May be able to change every other month. Please tell me how i should clean it and when should i change the cartilage. It is going in a 37 gallon turtle tank. Thank you
Will i need the carbon in my tank. I own turtles. If i just rinse the cartilage will the carbon just dissolve. Then i need a new cartilage. Or can i go with out the carbon for my turtles?

i have some "crystal cat litter" made from silica gel can i replace my carbon filter (for filtering the odor out of air not water) with it will it be just a effective or should i just spend the money and buy some real carbon

I know that activated carbon is the best to use because of it’s high absorbtion qualities. I also know that the main difference is the process by which lump charcoal and activated charcoal is made is the heat and/or chemicals used to increase the absorbtion quality. For money sakes I wanted to use the store bought lump charcoal (not the briquettes which also contain other materials) I would smash them up really good to increase the surface area thereby increasing the absorbtion quality. I just wanted to make sure there isn’t anything I am missing before I go through the trouble. Any advice is appreciated.

like any old remedies used from generations or something i can do at home without spending any money. i get regular trims,drink plenty of water,i massage my scalp daily, and excercise.

I’m curious, is steam or water vapor 100% pure water? I heard it leaves lead, fluoride and other stuff out of the vapor. For instance if I boil water and the steam comes off and I catch and contain the steam so that it returns to water around the pot would it be pure water? or free of fluoride and lead? or does it still have it? I’m no scienist or anything to make my own filter or have a lot of money to buy a decent one. But any help would be useful.
