I just bought my first house 2 weeks ago in the Central Florida area and I just had a salesperson come to my home to try to sell me a whole house water filtration system. The manufacturer was Avian priced at 00. Are these whole house systems as good as they present them to be and what is a reasonable price for one?
We just moved into a house that has a well. The owner is out of the country, so we are on our own. The well water reaks of rotten eggs. Otherwise, it is very clear. What can we do to get rid of the stench? We can’t afford a whole house water filtration system, (00+), so we need to find something that will work. Please advise. Thanks
I am looking to buy a whole house water filtration system in the next month. I have looked up so many reviews on different products, but the reviews are from the companies that sell these products. How would I find the best one? Does anyone know of a good one?
I am trying to do my research before spending the big bucks on a whole house water filtration/softener system and I’m not sure what to focus on. It seems there really is a difference between "filtering" and "softening" and I’d like the benefits of both, but everything I’ve found out there so far that falls into the "both" category is multiple thousands of dollars. Yet when I search the one or the other options, buying both units would cost less than buying the dual-action unit.
Any advice from anyone who has purchased and used either or both of these systems?
I have very hard water where I live & I was wondering if it would be worth it to invest in a whole house water filtration system or if I should just get an under sink reverse osmosis system w/ the storage tank for drinking water?
I would be more inclined to get the whole house water filtration system if I could determine how beneficial it is for other things…
Is this water a lot better for your skin?
What about when washing your clothes? Does hard water make this more harsh or turn whites dingy?
What is the difference between a Water Softener and this type of system?
There's a lot of water that comes out of the whole house water filtration system when it cleans itself. Mine is made by Kinetico and it's comes with 2 filter tanks and 1 softener tank. Can I water plants with that water? It is safe for lawn and other plant life? I hate to see all that water go to waste.
