what could I do now ? the house will closing today?
I am buying the foreclosure house, and done the home inspection already. the inspector went that day, it was water over the floor, and checked out it’s the water cleaner broke. he said that the pipes were fine, don’t be so worry. So I decided to buy the house. but waited until the today , before the house closing, we went back the house to take a check, but the water was turned off. I tried to turn on but couldn’t help. I insisted on requiring the water on. but the seller came and said that was the city turned off the water …something. they couldn’t do anything. So what can I do now?

My realtor said after the house closing. we need to make a call to the city to ask for the water on , is it true?

I am a 37 year experienced painter and have painted many homes in foreclosure..they always call the city and have a temporary water turned on with no problem at all..You can have at closing before you sign everything that due to the water being off to have them put money in escrow..which the lawyers hold untill you have the water turned on and all plumbing and the filteration system is checked out..The sellers cannot touch this money untill the time stated and if any plumbing/filteration problems then will be paid from this money held in escrow..give them a copy of the inspection itself…or have them deduct the price of a new filteration system plus removal of the old and instilation of the new from the price of the house..personally..I would have money in escrow to cover more than the cost of this in case there are other problems besides just the filteration system..the realtors can have the city turn the water on on a temporary ..NO PROBLEM AT ALL…I have them turn on any house with a temp when I paint them so I can wash and clean as needed..this realtor is feeding you a line of poop..demand it..do not sign nothing..I bet they have it on by tommorrow..refuse to…There are so many houses on the market and they cant sell them..Your money..make the demands you need..they will not turn a sell down over a temp connect they can have done anytime they want…
yea probably it needs to be turned off and on evry time it changes owners….. so they get the new name on the bill
